Let’s organize the moving to-do list

2 to 3 months before

  • Make an inventory of the items you don’t want to take with you, and decide whether selling, giving away, or throwing them away is best . You can use Facebook groups if you want to give away or sell items.
  • Consider using a storage facility or warehouse for bulky items that you don’t want to transport but want to keep.
  • Start thinking about transporting your pet , if you have one, especially if there are special needs (long-distance moves, large animals, etc.).
  • Inform your family members’ schools/universities and request any documents. Provide the address of your new school so that school documents can be sent correctly.
  • Be sure to plan which days or weeks are best for your move.
  • Decide which goods to transport.

One month before… after choosing Salaris Global Mobility as your trusted mover

  • Arrange your move date with your dedicated move manager assigned to you by Salaris Global Mobility .
  • Start consuming the food you have in the freezer (it seems trivial but it’s good to consider it)
  • If necessary, request a couple of days off or leave in preparation for the move.
  • Find out about telephone, internet, TV , and other services for your new home. If possible, transfer these services to your new home in advance.
  • If you have large plants , think about how to organize the transport and stop watering them 4/5 days in advance.
  • Schedule cleaning of your current accommodation.

  • Prepare a kit for your pets (food, water, carrier, documents, etc.).
